A door rarely comes off its track on its own. Usually another part breaks first. For example, a torsion spring can snap, and the door drops and jams in the track. A car can also hit the door and push it out of place.

An off-track door is not dangerous if it stays still. If you try to operate it, it can fall or damage the rest of the door system. Do not use the door. Let a trained technician repair it.

We do not recommend it. The door is heavy, and the springs and cables can be under tension. Leave the door where it is and call us.
